About MASC

The Missouri Association of Student Councils was founded on September 17, 1948. Since then, it has been the premier organization in creating and developing first-rate student leaders and advisors in Missouri, with currently over 215 Missouri junior high, middle and high schools registered as dues-paying members. MASC’s mission is to provide programs and resources that develop positive student leaders and advisors who will promote a quality school and community environment.

MASC hosts several events throughout the year, including District Meetings, Advisors Conference, Winter Energizer, State Convention and Summer Leadership Workshop. MASC is sponsored by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals (MASSP) and is affiliated with National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and the National Association of Student Councils (NASC). The association’s state charity of choice has been Special Olympics Missouri for 25 years. Read more about the MASC – SOMO partnership here.
